Cooking turns raw meat, fish, and other ingredients gathered from creatures and fishing into prepared food.
Chef Argna trains the skill at the Shaded Bloom Inn, and Cooking Trainer Violyn also teaches it in Night Harbor. You’ll want a Cleaver for butchering, a Fish Scaler for cleaning catches, and a Mortar and Pestle for finer preparations — all available from cooks in Night Harbor or the Alchemy Supplies vendor.
Cooking splits into two halves: simple 1:1 conversions (skin a Raw Jackal Meat into Cooked Jackal Meat) that barely move your skill, and multi-ingredient prepared dishes that add seasonings and sides for bigger, more reliable skill-ups.
Don’t linger on the raw-to-cooked conversions once you have options — they’re mostly there to use up hunting drops. Move into prepared dishes as soon as their trivial makes sense; the seasoning costs (Black Pepper, Crystallized Salt, Garlic) are cheap relative to the skill-up they give.
Fishing — supplies raw fish for fillets and prepared seafood dishes.
Alchemy — the Mortar and Pestle is shared equipment between the two skills.
